The long history of a Non-Partisan School Board?

As I embarked on this journey, I reached out to many of my friends on both sides of the isle for support. I heard their views on issues facing public education in general and on Pflugerville ISD specifically. I listened, took notes and tried to learn. To me, this is one of the things that trustees of a school board should do: Listen to constituents and be open-minded. I might be naive, but through all the listening never did my mind go to "Oh, this is a Republican issue or a Democrat issue", but rather it went to "This is an issue that affects kids." I hope through this journey I continue to feel that way. This is an interesting read on the subject. https://www.tasb.org/news-insights/nonpartisan-school-boards
